What was Saas Analysts?
Problem
Traditionally, fundraising requires founders to step away from their operational roles for a minimum of six months, disrupting both the day to day operations of the company and the executive team. This is a dynamic that most startups hate.
Solution
Alleviate the strain on senior leadership teams by providing short-term, highly specialized analysts to support fundraising efforts. Services range from revising pitch decks in collaboration with founders to preparing a full data room, ultimately reducing the capacity drain typically faced by startups.
SaaS Analysts also strives to better equip founders for fundraising. Venture capitalists often possess greater knowledge of benchmarks and essential metrics than founders, who are primarily focused on running their businesses. SaaS Analysts hopes to reverse this dynamic, providing custom cheat sheets and a panel of key metrics, setting founders on a level playing field with their prospective investors and ultimately improve the deal quality and valuations.
Team
The whole team have experience both working in SaaS companies and analyzing companies for venture capitalists. As a result, they should know how to position a startup, and what Venture Capitalists will be watching out for, aka ‘where the bodies are buried, and also where to hide them’.
Why did it close?
I’d like to write up the issues that I had in more detail at some point. Ultimately, however, I realised that it wasn’t a good use of my time and I should be working on more important projects.
